Choo-Choo

For those of you who don’t know, trains run all the time in Selma, AL. Lately, there has been a lot of restructuring on the railroad tracks…railroad blocks, trains of all sorts, and a lot of funny-looking machinery going back and forth. Outside of dealing with that, we have the normal day-to-day adventures with the trains. We have those trains that roll ever so slowly, almost to a stop. I would rather they stop than keep teasing me like they’re going to keep moving. Then we have those trains that do stop and stay there, and they stay there, and they stay there! Hang it up if you are late for anything. Then we have those trains that are near the end, then decide to stop and back up. It’s like playing musical trains.

While I was out, as usual, the inevitable happened… a train was on my route; I could see it blocks away. Normally, I would have turned and gone in another direction, but that time, however, I kept going. Come to think of it, I felt like I was staring at the train but very alert. I thought the whole time to turn, but I didn’t, and I felt as if I couldn’t. By the time I reached the track, the last cart of the train was passing by. Honestly, it may not have been the last cart because I saw the hitch, as if another cart should have been there. Nevertheless, I just watched it go by. As I crossed, I knew that was confirmation that I’m on the right track. I heard, “It will open when you get there.”

I don’t know what track you’re on but look for confirmation. It can come in many forms!

Loves ya!
